From humble beginnings, ABT has grown into a logistics leader, rooted in the vision of our founder, the late P. Nachimuthu Gounder. He started the business in 1921 by hiring bullock carts in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.
In 1931, the company expanded with 21 buses, becoming The Anamallais Bus Transport, operating 150 buses across 110 routes in and around Coimbatore, providing reliable public transport.
Our diverse divisions reflect our commitment to innovation, allowing us to set milestones in the transport industry. Under the guidance of our late chairman, Dr. N. Mahalingam, we diversified further with the launch of ABT Parcel Service in 1964, led by Sri A.V. Giri.
Today, Dr. M. Manickam, our current chairman and the son of our legendary chairman, oversees operations, while Mr. M. Harihara Sudhan, our dynamic executive director and great-grandson of the founder, implements advanced technologies and new business strategies to adapt to current trends.
